But of course encased in black rubber the suits are like ovens so dehydration and heat stroke can be problems. Generally it’s better to shelter in the shade of a rock outcropping during the day and travel by night, which makes walking in ballet boots even more dangerous, but the students stand a better chance of avoiding heat stroke. We monitor the students movement by the GPS units in their boot heels (not the ones we give them to navigate with because they often drop and break them) so if they stop moving for more than a day we send a team in a ATV to pick them up. No student in the course is lost or left in the desert regardless of how poorly they do.Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15373188929595748773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218371937671599251.post-35855213605029095012010-09-21T08:35:31.876+01:002010-09-21T08:35:31.876+01:00Jill, you say "It’s fun to see who makes it a...Jill, you say "It’s fun to see who makes it and who doesn’t" in your dessert trial. I am not aware of the weather conditions during autumn around Vegas. What does the "doesn´t make it" option implement? You don´t get a finisher-medal? Or you´r lost in the desert?Joehttp://www.joe.ballet-heels.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218371937671599251.post-6638674843596630712010-09-18T22:26:45.270+01:002010-09-18T22:26:45.270+01:00Rohypnol is the trade name for Flunitrazepam (See:...Rohypnol is the trade name for Flunitrazepam (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flunitrazepam) a strong hypnotic and powerful sedative, anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, amnestic, and skeletal muscle relaxant drug that is commonly called Roofie here in the U.S. It is used for date rape because of its sedative and amnestic effects. Our femme fatale obviously administered it after her victims took her to where they thought they would be safe.

You may remember when I was posting on Yahoo 360 I told about the time when I was dancing with the Oakland Ballet when a Lecher took me to his place in San Francisco and doctored my drink with Rohypnol. I was lucky to see him do it, though I was on the lookout because I suspected he might. I switched drinks with him and he drank enough that his balance was impaired and he began chasing me around his apartment. I got to this huge picture window and he came racing toward me. I stepped to one side and he crashed through the window and fell 150 feet to the road below and his head splattered. It was such a shame because he had one of the best views in the city, looking out over the bay and toward the Golden Gate. It was such a waste because I wanted him to take me, just not with me all drugged up, and he went and spoiled what could have been a lovely evening.Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15373188929595748773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218371937671599251.post-46418188005709576412010-09-18T05:42:44.386+01:002010-09-18T05:42:44.386+01:00What is Rohypnol.? If they cheat they are just dismissed from the course.

As for the picture accompanying this entry, can you believe that we have students who volunteer to experience an encounter like this.
