The perils of Gas Fisting: Gas Fisting for the purpose of this post is defined as having compressed air intentionally forced into the vagina of a willing (or unwilling) woman. As far as I know being Gas Fisted is very rare and extremely dangerous which probably explains its rarity. I’m writing about it now because one of my students asked me about it today in my class on Advanced Sexual Techniques. Her boyfriend wanted to do it to her telling her that it was a quick way to flush coital discharge from her vagina. She asked if a diaphragm being used for contraception or as ‘flood protection’, to prevent the hydraulics of a partners thrusting from forcing water into her uterus, would provide effective protection if he forced pressurized gas into her. The short answer is no, it will not!

No currently available cervical barrier or FC2 condom will provide any protection if a woman is Gas Fisted. The few incidents I’m familiar with have all occurred where the woman is in a bikini or beavertail jacket and SCUBA gear where there was easy access to her vulva and a source of compressed gas from a buddy reg on an octopus or her partner’s reg was available and have all occurred w/o the victim’s permission.

Present Barrier protection is ineffective: Readers of my posts will recall that I routinely use the latex Reflexions flat spring contraceptive diaphragm as effective ‘flood insurance’ while diving to prevent water or gas bubbles from being forced into my uterus by the hydraulics of a partner’s thrusting. Neither the Reflexions nor any other cervical barrier currently commercially available will protect a woman against serious injury if high pressure gas is released into her vagina.

That’s because a jet of compressed gas from a 2^nd stage reg will stretch the vaginal rugae inflating the vagina like a balloon causing the bladder to immediately empty and occasionally the bowels as well. Worse however is that the nearly instantaneously inflated vagina will break even the strongest seal of any diaphragm or FemCap being worn for protection because diaphragm rims and FemCap brims form their seals by pressing tightly against the vaginal walls. The seal of a cervical barrier being breached allows the gas and any water it is pushing to be forced into the wearer’s uterus and fallopian tubes where it could cause PID and infertility or a gas bubble could possibly enter the bloodstream if she was menstrual or recently had an abortion or given birth.

Effective protection: The only cervical barriers that will provide effective protection from the serious side effects of Gas Fisting are the latex Prentif cavity rim cap and the much smaller transparent silicone Oves cap because they suction directly on the walls of the cervix so external pressure will force them down tighter on the cervix.  Unfortunately, neither Prentif nor Oves are still being made. However, there are a few of us still using a Prentif or Oves who can survive a mischievous partner Gas Fisting us.

Too, for a very few of us wanting to tempt fate we can screw a Prentif or Oves down tight on our cervix and have a lover intentionally Gas Fist us or do it ourselves to prove to we still have the nerve or luck to survive.  There is no accounting for the extent to which some of us will go for thrills. Experiencing the massive high that sort of ‘cheating death’ recklessness brings when I successfully survive an intentional Gas Fisting leaves me boneless and gasping savoring how marvelously alive I feel!  

Latex Prentif cavity rim cervical caps like the ones shown above are the only devices other than Oves that will provide effective protection for a woman who is Gas Fisted.

The Pleasure of pumping: I’m not feeding an infant so I can have a glass of white wine and relax and enjoy the experience when pumping with no fear of harming a breast feeding partner. My let-down reflex (LDR) occurs very quickly so I have to be fast in getting into the harness and fitting the shields over my nipples or I’ll leak all over myself, but having been lactating for years I can don and doff my Medela very quickly. Fortunately my LDR is not super sensitive as it can be with some lactating moms whose nipples will start to leak when they hear a baby cry. Pumping is not as fulfilling as if I have an infant or an ANR partner at my breasts, but there is still the suction on my nipples and the warm tingly sensation when my milk begins to flow. Lactating requires a lot of work to keep the pump hardware clean, wearing LilyPadz to prevent breast leakage staining my tops and using wipes to clean up spills so I don’t smell like warm breast milk.  However, there are some breast fetishists who love the astringent scent when rancid milk is mixed with the aroma of estrogenic sweaty latex and latex polish when his partner is in a rubber catsuit. Although for most men a bouquet that complex can be an acquired taste. As I’ve mentioned before I love that front close bras have become fashionable especially in sports styles that provide comfort, support and ease of getting in to and out of it especially for those of us in ANRs.

Morning Wood and lactation: When they find I’m lactation a new acquaintance will ask, “How old is your baby?” Then I have to explain that I’ve never been pregnant and my induced lactation was a rare side effect of changing then coming off combined (estrogen/progestin) hormonal birth control pills. I found lactating such a pleasure, though a lot of work especially for a performing ballet dancer, that I kept my milk flowing and have enjoyed exchanging intimate secretions with my lovers for years. The down side is that my breasts went from a 32A cup to a B which caused me to have to redefine my center for turns and balances. Too a B cup ballet dancer is a bit busty so for some roles I bind my breasts and I always empty them before a performance; preferably of course with in an ANR, but often when I’m traveling with a breast pump as any dancer who has ever tried it never wants to jump, turn and be partnered with full breasts again.

The distance from McCarran International Airport (IATA: LAS) to St Thomas USVI Cyril E. King Airport (IATA: STT) is 3,275 miles. At a cruising speed of 550 mph the flying time was about 6 ½ hours, perhaps a bit less with a tailwind going east. Landing at Charlotte Amalie at 9:00AM AST. On board the Wanton Lass IV sailing at 6 mph (5.2kts) it should be about 7 ¼ hours assuming good weather and sea conditions. The US and British Virgin Islands are on Atlantic Standard Time (AST) which is the same as the U.S. Eastern Daylight time so we are 5 hours behind British Summer Time, BST.  I’ve had a floating pier and elevator installed so we able to dock and walk ashore. There is no more landing in small boats and carrying supplies and luggage across the beach and up the cliff stairway to the house which makes things far more convenient. We were all unpacked, showered and settled in in time to enjoy a late supper of Caribbean spiny lobsters and drawn butter on the veranda overlooking the cove.

Dive-Porn at Lost Cove: Taryn’s porn production company, the techies and actors, arrived the next day, the 19^th, to produce another dive-porn video. My wards including Bea all want bit parts so they may be extras appearing in party or beach scenes or anonymous in SCUBA in underwater group scenes. We called for a medi-lift helicopter which took her and her partner to the hospital at Spanish Town and then on to Charlotte Amalie to be treated for aspiration pneumonia and her miscarriage. Before he boarded the helicopter her partner told me she had no idea she was pregnant and had been on the contraceptive implant for several years with no problems. The rest of her party pulled up anchor and sailed for Spanish Town.  

To avoid that sort of thing is why we all routinely test for pregnancy. While the risk is slight since we are all using very effective methods of contraception we are all having frequent sex with unprotected and very potent men. You can never be certain that you are completely safe from conceiving and pregnancy and diving is a dangerous combination. During the spontaneous abortion the camera crew never stopped recording. The director just had them switch from the actors to the woman in her bikini with blood gushing around her thong as her contractions pushed the aborted fetus into the water and her reg floated free above her head as she vomited. He plans to use that few minutes of a real life and death drama in the porn video.

Entonox as a fetish gas

Entonox: A friend on the West Coast has been asking about my experience with Entonox. Entonox is nitrous oxide mixed 50:50 with oxygen and is a commonly used method of obstetric analgesia with maintenance of consciousness. It may also be used in the setting of minor procedures in the trauma department where transient analgesia is required. It is most often administered via a demand valve for self administration. A safety feature is that the mother controls administration.

Entonox takes 30 seconds to act and continues for approximately 60 sec after inhalation has ceased. For optimum effect in obstetric patients inhalation should start when the contraction tightens to co-ordinate the maximal effect with the central painful part of the contraction. There are minimal cardiovascular, respiratory or neurological side effects. It should not be used in patients with a pneumothorax or by SCUBA divers within 24 hours of their last dive.

The Medical Gas Data Sheet for Entonox: The MGDS for Entonox cab be found at: http://www.bocsds.com/uk/sds/medical/entonox.pdf some of its cautions are:

Entonox should not be used for more than a total of 24 hours, or more frequently than every 4 days, without close clinical supervision and hematological monitoring. Entonox is non flammable but strongly supports combustion and should not be used near sources of ignition. It will cause substances to burn vigorously, including some materials that do not normally burn in air due to the high concentration of oxygen within the mixture. It is highly dangerous in the presence of oils, greases, tarry substances and many plastics due to the risk of spontaneous combustion in the presence of oxygen in relatively high concentrations. Smoking should be prohibited when using Entonox.

Where moisturizing preparations are required for use with a facemask or in nasal passages, oil based creams should not be used. Check that hands are clean and free from any oils or grease. Where alcohol gels are used to control microbiological cross-contamination ensure that all alcohol has evaporated before handling Entonox cylinders or equipment.

Entonox and Lactation: There are no known adverse effects to using Entonox during the breast-feeding period, which I was glad to learn.

Entonox availability: Availability is tightly controlled because it is a potentially dangerous anesthetic gas. My supply comes from the large women’s clinic owned by the casino I work for which has a license primarily for obstetrical use and a small clinical trial ‘for the relief of cervical discomfort during intense intercourse with physically mismatched male partners’ using escort candidate trainees as the study population. The St Lucy’s supply is licensed for: ‘Physiology laboratory studies of intimate feminine pain during intercourse’, which is basically the same study, but with sexually active St Lucy’s girls. Nothing like telling it like it is! Even so, for personal use Entonox is difficult obtain so it’s a special treat to use when a cylinder of it becomes available.

A warning to the adventuresome: For safety reasons Entonox should NOT be used as a gas while SCUBA diving. That’s because the gas can collect in cavities in the diver’s body leading to decompression sickness (DCS) and below 60 feet there is a greatly increased risk of oxygen toxicity. However, for those who are willing to accept the risks of DCS to try Entonox while diving there are some equipment requirements. Always dive with a buddy who is not using Entonox so that if the Entonox user gets in trouble there will be someone to get him/her to the surface. Because of the high concentration of oxygen in Entonox the SCUBA FFMs used should be at least Nitrox 40 compatible so the effect on valves and seals of the second stage reg from the highly reactive oxygen will not be too rapid. Frequent maintenance of dive gear used with Entonox is highly recommended. Dosing requirements on Entonox can vary greatly depending on the weight and metabolism of the user so self administration is the best dosing regimen rather than supplying it directly through a SCUBA type regulator which may provide too little or in a few cases too much.

Entonox for fetish use: It’s not clear to me if it’s safe to use surplus rubber gasmasks with Entonox. My guess is that it’s not due to the reactive nature of the high oxygen content of the gas. New polycarbonate gasmasks like the Mestel SGE 400 and Nitrox capable SCUBA FFMs like the Ocean Reef Space Raptor used with Entonox must be cleaned of all oils and greases and all oily moisturizers and cosmetics should be removed from the faces of users before donning a mask to breathe Entonox to prevent the possibility of the mixture combining with the oils and spontaneously combusting inside the mask. Rubber enclosure suits should be tested for use with Entonox - before being worn for an Entonox encounter - to determine if the rubber material and latex cleaners and polishes can be used safely with high concentrations of oxygen even though the suit itself may not be pressurized by the gas.

Entonox at St Lucy’s: I don’t hold Entonox dive-labs for St Lucy’s girls because of the considerable danger involved, though some do get to experience the anesthetic effects of Entonox while wearing special medical grade silicone encasement suits for penetrative sex with extremely well endowed men – as covered under the school’s clinical trial protocol. That’s why they need self administered Entonox, to minimize the pain from having their cervixes rammed by a man who is a bit too large to be a safe partner for them.

In order to participate in the Entonox encasement suit sex-lab each student must be using an effective contraceptive method other than hormonal contraceptives and an Entonox lab participant must have a signed waver from her parents or guardian. The reason for excluding students using HCs is that women on HCs have difficulty becoming aroused and that means their vaginas don’t lengthen (tent) so they are at greater risk of having the ligaments holding the uterus in place torn by a large ramming penis (especially when using Entonox to mask the pain when that is occurring) Torn major support ligaments will cause it to drop and the cervix to be at the entrance to or protruding from the vagina. There is an operation that can reattach the uterus where it originally was, but it isn’t particularly successful as the ligaments that were originally torn don’t contract as much to cause the uterus to pull up and out of the way of a thrusting penis, which is similar to the hormonal contraceptive side effect that caused the original problem. Most students have GyneFix IUDs implanted or use cervical barriers so that doesn’t exclude too many students.

At St Lucy’s the students wear Ocean Reef Space Raptor FFMs that have been upgraded by the schools Divemaster for use with Entonox. The woman’s primary air is supplied from a standard SCUBA cylinder of Nitrox I – to ensure there are no reactive contaminants in the gas - on a trolley by the student’s lab-bed with the Entonox being supplied directly from a separate Entonox cylinder into the masks oral nasal unit through the drinking port by means of a standard self administered demand valve.

NuvaRing dive-sex and the diaphragm: We try to discourage use of NuvaRing by women, especially very young or petite women, wanting to learn dive-sex techniques. That’s because if worn in a gas-guard / diaphragm that is less than 70 mm in diameter the ring can interfere with the seal of the gas-guard. That’s because NuvaRing has an outer diameter of 54 mm and a cross-sectional diameter of 4 mm and it has to fit inside the dome with the cervix and if the ring is caught in the anterior fornix it could be pushed under the anterior rim of the diaphragm breaking the seal and causing it to leak and making it more likely that the diaphragm can be under-thrust. The ring can be removed for up to three hours w/o decreasing the woman’s contraceptive protection, but encounters can go on longer than that or the woman forgets to reinsert and then when she reinserts she has to wait 7 days for her hormonal protection to be reestablished.

Watching Aimée get drilled: It’s always a treat watching Doug pole a small woman and seeing him penetrate Aimée was no exception! Especially since it was her first time being taken by him and she was wondering to me - before their encounter - if she could take a man with a root that thick.
