Homeward bound: There were light rain showers when we took off from Inverness on Tuesday. The arctic air mass was still over the east coast of the U.S. but Dulles (IAD) was clear and we landed to deliver some priority government documents and top off our tanks before continuing on a bit further north as the jet stream was still way to the south and staying north of it cut our head winds considerably. There were significant commercial airline delays due to the bitter cold covering most of the U.S. but private flights were operating w/o delays. On the 7^th the afternoon temperature in Vegas was 58°so fortunately the arctic high has missed us at home. The entire flight was uneventful except for what went on in the cabin.

Sexual health: Before we went to Scotland for three weeks to celebrate the Winter Solstice, Christmas and Twelfth Night I took my wards; Bea, Willow and Odette and Odile as well as myself to our Gyn (Chris) to make certain we were all in the best possible sexual health given that we are normally so sexually active. Too, in the Highlands of Scotland while Chris and his Gyn supplies would be with us it would be very disrupting to have to take a patient to a major hospital.

So we all had full pelvic exams and STI panels and everything was fine! Everyone including me has had all their Gardasil shots and vaccinated against Pneumonia, Shingles and our annual flu shots. The girls had the placement of their GyneFix copper IUDs checked with ultrasounds and our cervices checked for dysplasia. The PAP test was particularly important to me because if my cervix wasn’t healthy I would have to stop wearing an Oves cap which screws down tight on it, and that would be traumatic for me as I’m psychologically attuned with having something tight sucking on my cervix protecting my uterus.

Too, knowing we were all sexually healthy and have had all our shots gave us confidence that with STI screened men (which they were) we should be safe from infections with the use of DiveGel+ for vaginal pH balancing to allow having frequent sex with about sixteen new men in that three week interval.  I was particularly pleased with the results of my pelvic as Chris took new measurements of my vaginal grip with the Peritron 9300 perineometer as well as checking the health and thickness of the rugae making up my vaginal lining.  Since I’ll be 43 next month I’m very sensitive to any signs of sexually aging like changes in duration of my cycle or menstrual flow or thinning of vaginal rugae or inability to lubricate naturally. I’m pleased that Chris said I have the vaginal lining of a nineteen year old and that when fully aroused my vagina is deeper by five mm than when we last measured it. That’s a bit of a problem since when not aroused I still take an 80mm traditional diaphragm which means that, especially when I’m entered from behind when aroused while wearing a 80mm Reflexions a partner is more likely to hit the rim, but since I only wear it when menstrual or as back-up flood insurance (over an Oves) while diving I should be ok.

Latex catsuit sex: Wearing a latex catsuit for a prolonged length of time like continuously for 24 hours takes some planning if the wearer is to be sexually active and have a healthy vagina. A sweaty vulva encased in a tight nonporous material like latex can quickly develop a bacterial overgrowth resulting in a yeast infection, YI. Here again DiveGel+ in 10ml prefilled disposable applicators, with its acidic pH is used as a vaginal pH balancer and is spread over the latex wearer’s labia and entrance to her urethra as well to minimize the likelihood of bladder infections. Also, being taken from behind where a partner isn’t continuously pressing on the urethral entrance reduces the likelihood of developing honeymoon cystitis.

Since I’m lactating and breast feeding my wards and male sexual partners when I can I have to be careful about leaking nipples (I wear Lilly Padz when not breast feeding) or spilled breast milk in a latex suit which if not quickly cleaned up can cause the suit to smell of rancid milk, a really stomach turning scent and even chlorinated latex can pick up that odor quickly, but that’s my problem as there are very few lactating women who enjoy being clad and having sex in latex as the compression of lactating breasts under tight latex can be painful.

Of course vaginal discharge and having a new catsuit with the relief zipper stained – even though it has a zipper tongue to prevent direct zipper track contact with the wearer’s labia - with discharge and smelling like a diaphragm that has been left inserted too long can be a turn off for a latex newbie too. But that rubbery stench is an acquired taste and a huge turn-on in rubberiest circles where experienced men prize the scent of rubber marinated in decaying vaginal discharge. The zipper stains can be removed with lemon juice, but latex catsuits are high maintenance clothing which is one of a thousand reasons why I’m glad to have Beth taking proper care of my costumes.

Latex encounters: I had been craving wearing a latex catsuit even before we went to Scotland and I’d packed my new .3mm transparent chlorinated latex twin zipper one from Labia Labs. There is a breast feeding zip that opens for breast access and the double pull one for back entry and relief access.  Willow was fitted at the same time with just the twin pull back entry/relief zip, and packed hers also so we buddied up on the way home for sweaty girl-girl latex sheathed sex with plugs, Hitachi wands and Pyrex dildos. When Willow wasn’t breast feeding we both wore M10 gasmasks to muffle our moans, mewing and screams as we took one another to orgasm multiple times before snuggling into each others arms and fell into sound post orgasmic sleep. Willow smelled wonderfully of latex, rubber polish, and estrogenic sweat, her last male lover’s residual semen still draining out and with my vaginal secretions including some of Jack’s liquefies semen on her fingers. Flight attendants and vacuum sealed diaphragms: I first noticed the dome of my diaphragm under significant vacuum when I inserted my Reflexions in Tahoe (at an elevation of more than 6,200 feet) for dive-sex last summer. It was such an amazing feeling that developed as the dome suctioned tighter against my cervix and anterior wall as Limnaea, my G550, was descending to land at McCarran at an elevation of about 2,200 feet! I love the feeling of pressure as the latex membrane stretches over the tip of my cervix. It’s rather like the pressure on my toes in my toe pads when I walk or stand en pointe.

Now, we are beginning to see a few flight attendants’ coming in to be fitted for latex diaphragms as the word spreads about the eroticism of wearing one with a pressurized dome. Most admit wanting latex because of the experiences of friends, but a second reason is that a Latex flat spring diaphragm is the safest for use as ‘flood insurance’ during dive-sex which flight attendants have discovered and are scheduling private classes during layovers. The flight attendants reasons are reversed from the escorts for whom a latex FS is a standard part of their equipment when with a dive-sex client. But then most escorts haven’t had experience vacuum sealing the dome of a diaphragm during a flight. Unfortunately only about 40% of the women who have come to us wanting to learn how to vacuum seal the dome of their diaphragms have the proper pelvic anatomy to do so.

There are several caveats for women wanting a high vacuum in the dome of a latex FS diaphragm. First she mustn’t be allergic to latex. While that seems obvious some women want to try anyway which is not a good idea! Second as mentioned above she must have the proper pelvic anatomy. Some women, because of their vaginal rugae (the folds in the walls that allow the vagina to expand when aroused and during childbirth) are unable to develop a strong vacuum in the dome. The dome will seal effectively enough for contraception when used with spermicide, but won’t develop a significant vacuum in the dome which allows it to adhere to the cervix and anterior wall as tightly as a coat of paint. For the lucky women the thin latex dome will stretch under pressure to develop a high vacuum and a nearly perfect fit. However, a few of them find they can’t stand the pressure on the cervix and don’t pressurize. Because the domes of silicone diaphragms are stiffer and less stretchy under vacuum even I find a silicone dome under strong vacuum puts too much pressure on the tip of my cervix for me to stand it for more than a few minutes and that much pressure can also cause the cervix to bleed.

Returning readers will remember there are some other disadvantages of latex diaphragms: they don’t last nearly as long, discolor quicker, tend to develop an odor sooner and may contribute to infections more than silicone ones. Still, for those of us into dive-sex or wanting a vacuum in the dome the latex Reflexions is a must.

The dome vacuum: For a woman whose anatomy allows developing a high dome vacuum, inserting a tight sealing cervical barrier while in an aircraft at altitude with a typical cabin pressure of 8,000 feet, allows the dome to be under a vacuum of several pounds per square inch at ground level. I can get somewhat the same result by ‘pumping down’ as I described in my March 31, 2012 post, ‘Ballet-sex exams, dome suction’, but it doesn’t approach the seal developed with a 2 to 3 psi dome vacuum. Some examples of the strong dome vacuums that can theoretically be obtained locally are:

Las Vegas atmospheric pressure at 2028 feet above sea level say 13.7 psi (2,000 ft)..

Lake Tahoe atmospheric pressure at average surface elevation 6225 feet above sea level, say 11.8 psi (6,000 ft).

Typical passenger plane cabin pressure kept at the equivalent of 8,000 ft, 10.9 psi.

Differences in air pressure Vegas from Tahoe = 13.7 psi minus 11.8 psi = +1.9 psi.

Differences in air pressure Vegas from typical pressurized passenger plane = 13.7 psi minus 10.9 psi = 2.8 psi.

Adolph’s Multiplace Hyperbaric Chamber: There are several local multiplace hyperbaric chambers, but they are all associated with medical facilities open to the public. Given the size of his fetish-diver training facility and the pressure related problems he has encountered with students, primarily women, sent to him for training he has recently had a six bed hyperbaric chamber added to the private hospital he funds for fetish related injuries here in the valley since a lot of the patients are from his training facility. A nice thing is that there is direct access through a tunnel from ‘The Well’, his 216 ft deep underwater training facility, to the admitting area at the hyperbaric chamber.

Until Adolph’s hyperbaric chamber became available there has been no convenient way to tell for sure if a woman being fitted for a latex FS diaphragm could successfully pressurize the dome and if the seal will hold or not, unless she (accompanied by her fitter) was taken up in a small unpressurized plane to 6,000 feet to insert and that was very expensive and could take several hours for the drive to and from the airport and the short flight. Now for groups of as many as six – who have been prescreened for suitability - the dome vacuums can be tested before the woman actually buys the diaphragm. It’s still an expensive test, but it’s worthwhile for a flight attendant desiring to high-vac her dome, a few wealthy women who fly a lot and for medical personnel having access to a multiplace hyperbaric chamber. And of course high-vac diaphragm fittings and tests are now available for guests at The Lorelei, Adolph’s European style spa, yet another profitable revenue stream for an already successful operation.

Training for AST finals: as the end of the school year approaches forth form girls are beginning to seriously train to be able to successfully have sex while en pointe: be able to orgasm and still retain enough control to milk their partners while remaining firmly en pointe. Being able to do that successfully and gracefully is as much an exercise in compartmentalization as it is in physical strength and stamina and it takes a lot of practice to be able to do it confidently. Even then there is an emotional component that will vary depending who the woman’s partner is and the more she likes him the more difficult it is to compartmentalize what he is doing to her to prevent going rubber-legged and falling off pointe before she orgasms and milks him. That is why we have different levels of very personable young trainers with gorgeous bodies. The students begin with a highly skilled but ordinary looking partner and as the students become more accomplished they are pared with more gorgeous partners until they can successfully have a vaginal orgasm and milk all the thick cream out of a young god w/o falling off pointe.

We start their training by having them attempt sex en pointe with a young god – taken from behind while bent over holding on to the barre - just to show them how easily a gorgeous, accomplished and attentive man can mind-fuck them so they are totally in his thrall and have so little control over their legs they can hardly stand much less remain en pointe during the encounter. That gives them some idea of the value of compartmentalization and why they need to be able to master it to have successful sex en pointe regardless of their previous ballet training. St Lucy’s AST girls get a break, being allowed to practice and take the exam wearing Gaynor Minden pointes rather than their performance shoes made of traditional materials. Escort trainees are required to pass the exam wearing shoes made of traditional materials which takes an additional level of strength and stamina.

UNLV women and dive protection: As swimsuit season draws nearer the sorority women are spending more time at the gym toning their bodies for bikini weather and spending time at Body Buffers having their estheticians give them Brazilian bikini wax treatments to remove all but a tiny ‘landing strip’ of pubic hair so no man will think they are underage. I prefer being totally waxed of all hair except eyebrows and scalp hair because I think it presents a more flowing line under a thong, but it’s a matter of personal preference.

A lot of sorority women, especially grad students who are more adventuresome, are asking to be fitted with latex flat spring diaphragms for use as gas-guards for protection during underwater sex. Many started out trying FemCap, but found that the fit wasn’t quite right or their partners hit the removal strap or the edge of the brim and found FemCap uncomfortable. While diaphragms aren’t suitable for every woman for those who are young and have a deep post pubic vault and don’t have a latex allergy the Reflexions can be extremely effective.

Diaphragms have really caught on at UNLV after the ‘Ringlets’ wore Milex Omniflex diaphragms while on a diving trip to Cancun during the Christmas break. [For more about that see my post for January 21, 2012.] But the Omniflex was being used to hold NuvaRings in place during occasional underwater vanilla sex. What the sorority sisters coming in for fittings want now is to get the huge increase in under-thrust protection provided by Reflexions flat spring rim diaphragms (over that provided by silicone Omniflex) when they need gas guards during dive-sex.

Omniflex and Reflexions are equally as effective during vanilla sex, but Omniflex can be easily under-thrust if the male partner knows how while, as I’ve previously mentioned it is almost impossible to under-thrust a flat spring rim and maximum protection is what’s needed to enjoy frequent and worry free dive-sex. I’m so pleased that more young women are finding or switching to Reflexions because that’s what I’ve been trying to get women divers to do for years. It seems to be catching on since it’s become common knowledge locally that elite escorts specializing in dive-sex now wear them, though that usage began for latex fetish reasons as I mentioned in an earlier post.

Reflexions diaphragms – increasing dome suction: for a woman who has strong vaginal muscle tone and is not allergic to latex and is serious about maximizing the effectiveness of her diaphragm I think that the Reflexions flat spring is her best choice. That’s because its thin strong spring folds in a single plane making it nearly impossible to under-thrust or displace during intercourse and the rim won’t distort on SCUBA dives deeper than 10 meters. Readers not interested in the details of maximizing the effectiveness of the Reflexions should skip this section.

One of the tricks that I’ve found helps stabilize a diaphragm is to increase the vacuum in the dome prior to needing it for both contraception and upper reproductive tract protection (URP) during dive sex. But increasing the vacuum in the dome doesn’t work for everyone. To stand the best chance of being able to increase dome suction a latex diaphragm should be used because the dome is stretchier than silicone ones. It is also important for the woman to have a well defined post-pubic vault and a very well fitting diaphragm so that the when correctly inserted the anterior rim is in the wearer’s pubic notch when she is unaroused.

Another factor, vaginal rugae; the transverse ridges or folds in the vaginal epithelium, the thick mucous membrane coating the wall of a healthy vagina, that allow it to expand in length and diameter during arousal and child birth, is important in developing a strong vacuum. In some older women or women who are estrogen deficient the rugae are thinner or not as flexible so the rim might not be able to sink into the soft tissue enough to grip the vaginal walls to develop a strong seal. For these women the diaphragm and spermicide combination will work effectively to kill the few sperm that leak past the rim during vanilla sex, but may not sustain a strong suction (or any suction) in the dome that would provide additional seal stability necessary for effective URP during dive-sex.

For women whose anatomies will permit it pumping down is done by the wearer inserting the Reflexions and placing it correctly so her cervix is covered by the dome and the anterior rim is in her pubic notch. Then squatting and pushing down as she would to have a bowel movement which pushes her cervix toward the entrance to her vagina. Since the diaphragms posterior rim is behind the cervix and the anterior rim in the pubic notch the rim is held against her pubic bone and the dome is filled and stretched by the cervix so that any remaining air in the folds of the dome is squeezed out. After three or for compressions like that the vacuum in the dome is sufficiently increased so that most wearers whose anatomies permit increasing dome suction can feel slight pressure on the cervix from the dome being stretched tight over the tip of the cervix. At removal the wearer has to insert a finger between the vaginal wall and the rim to break the seal and release the vacuum.

For me a really nice thing about pumping down the vacuum in a Reflexions diaphragm is that the latex stretches over the cervix as the vacuum pulls it into the void created by the anterior fornix causing a slight upward pressure on the cervix that I mentioned. Some women can’t stand the feeling, but I love it as it’s a sign that my barrier is in place and under strong vacuum making it even harder to displace no matter how large or rough my partner might be.
