Getting the most from your diaphragm

A silicone Caya contoured diaphragm

Repetition: I know I’ve covered this before, but I’m being repeatedly asked about how to get the most from the few styles of contraceptive diaphragms that are still available.

The Photo: The Caya contoured diaphragm was designed to fit women who take the four most often prescribed sizes of traditional diaphragms; 65mm, 70, 75, and 80mm. Caya has a polymer rim spring so there is no worry about wearing it through metal detectors at airports and the slightly matte outer surface of the cervix cup increases a partner’s sensation rubbing against the glans of his thrusting penis. The six bumps on the right side of the rim are grip dimples. There is an identical set on the other side that make gripping and compressing a slippery rim for insertion much easier than the smooth rim of a traditional diaphragm. The dome on the right is the removal dome into which the wearer inserts a finger to break the seal and pull it out.

Disadvantages of the Caya: Women with vaginas smaller than 65mm and larger than 80mm cannot safely wear it. The heat transfer properties of silicone are not as good as latex and in larger vaginas the relief arch tends to rotate a few degrees one way or the other. If rotation is too great the Caya rim can be under-thrust which the relief arch was designed to prevent. Since I am at the upper design limit for the Caya I’m reluctant to wear it for “flood insurance” during underwater sex.

A silicone Milex contraceptive diaphragm

The Photo: The last of the traditional diaphragms still commercially available Milex comes in two rim styles, Arcing and Omniflex (coil spring) rim. It is available in eight diameter sizes, from 60 to 95mm, in 5mm increments. The wide seal flange on the inside of the rim provides a larger surface to seal against the vaginal walls. The two cut-outs in the wide seal indicate where the fingers should be placed to compress the arcing rim for insertion. While the Omniflex (coil spring) rim has the same cutouts the Omniflex can be compressed at any two opposite points on the rim for insertion. The dark round spot in the inside center of the dome is the extrusion nub.

Properly cared for a Milex diaphragm will last several times longer than a latex diaphragm. However, it is still susceptible to deterioration from oils of all kinds as well as silicone lubricants. The stiff silicone dome has much poorer heat transfer properties than does the dome of a latex diaphragm.

One of my latex Reflexions flat spring diaphragms

The Photo: One of my 80mm latex Reflections flat spring rim diaphragms in its case. The curved white polymer device lying above the diaphragm is an ‘introducer’ which aided with insertion of diaphragms with rims of 60mm to 90mm for women with short fingers.

A major advantage of the latex flat spring over the Caya is that when correctly fitted and properly inserted it is almost impossible for even a mischievous partner to intentionally under-thrust the rim. Other advantages are that silicone lubes can be safely used with a latex diaphragm and the heat transfer properties of the translucent stretchy latex dome are far superior to silicone diaphragms. Another advantage that isn’t generally talked about is that for women with partners who are able to thrust into their anterior fornix a flat spring rim, since it only bends in the plane of the rim, will retain its shape and allow the latex dome to be stretched tight over the tip of the cervix and deep into the anterior fornix. This puts upward pressure on the cervix and therefore the uterus pushing it a few millimeters deeper which makes the bottom of the fornix that much deeper as well.  This cannot be duplicated with Milex and Caya diaphragms because the Milex rims (arcing and coil spring) bend in two planes and the Caya cervix cup is too deep to allow the cervix to be pushed upward by a penis thrusting into the anterior fornix. Another advantage of a Reflexions latex diaphragm is that the raised triangle (with the size of the device in millimeters in its center) on the outside center of the dome can stimulate the glans of a thrusting penis long enough to reach it.

Disadvantages of latex diaphragms: The latex can be easily damaged by oils of all kinds in lubes, vaginal meds and even by perfume on the fingers during insertion. Even when properly cared for a well-used (3+ times a week) latex diaphragm should be replaced every year. The rim of a Reflexions is stiffer to compress and hold (when slippery) for insertion than the Caya and a latex device will develop an odor quicker than a silicone one because the surface of the latex is porous to a small extent.  The odor   developing quicker is seen by scent fetishes as a plus.

However, the main problem with latex diaphragms is that they are no longer commercially available.  I’m fortunate to still have several new Reflexions that I haven’t broken the seals on the boxes, so I should be fine for a while longer. Currently only at Gyn practices specializing in cervical barriers can women be fitted for latex diaphragms custom made with coil, arcing or flat spring rims.

Expressing a diaphragm: For the best protection, a diaphragm should develop a strong seal (suction) in the dome. This seal depends on the flexibility of the vaginal walls with no major irregularities to grip a properly sized and correctly placed rim. A diaphragm with poor suction can be used fairly effectively with plenty of spermicide in the dome, but not as effectively as with strong suction. There is nothing more satisfying to me, from a safety perspective, than to feel the strong suction tug as I break the seal to remove my diaphragm at least six hours after the last act of intercourse (to make sure all his little swimmers are dead) from a long session of love making.

To get the strongest suction possible a wearer should express the air out of the dome or cervical cup with her fingers. Where the most air will accumulate under the dome is in the anterior fornix. The wider the anterior fornix the more air is trapped. Because of the smaller cervix cup there is less air to express from a Caya than a conventional diaphragm dome. Some women can press down and lower the cervix enough that the wearer can express all the air from her anterior fornix with her fingers. But when using fingers there is the possibility of cutting or tearing the dome with a fingernail. Others find it helpful to use a small dildo or the rounded handle of a table knife to force the dome into the anterior fornix to completely evacuate the air. It’s especially important if the wearer is using a diaphragm as “flood insurance” during dive-sex so the hydraulics of a partner’s thrusts will not force water into the wearer’s uterus.

Pelvic training “Finishing School”

A 1.0- inch set of 606 surgical steel Ben Wa balls

Photo: A set of 1.0-inch diameter 606 surgical stainless steel balls used for pompoir training.

Kitting out my new students: As in the past when kitting out my wards (though for this group it occurred over a weekend when the shops were usually closed) the class, six lovely hard bodied multi-ethnic athletic women in their early twenties, had been to Gepetto’s bootery to be fitted with £3,500 ballet-boots with unitized titanium toe-box and shanks and easily replaceable titanium heels. There will be no lace-splitter heels for these girls. His adjoining latex fetishwear shop made each student three chlorinated latex catsuits with self-lubricating relief zippers and flat welded seams that won’t tear when under strain. They also went to the Barony’s reproductive health clinic for fitting of the one-size-fits-most Caya contoured diaphragm and a half dozen custom made flat spring latex diaphragms to use for ‘flood insurance’ during underwater penile-vaginal sex to prevent the hydraulics of a partner’s thrusts from forcing water into the wearer’s uterus. Returning readers will recall that other desirable features of flat spring latex diaphragms are the thin latex membrane of the dome transmits heat far better than a silicone barrier, the flat spring rim is nearly impossible for even a skilled man to under-thrust and silicone lube can be used with latex w/o it destroying the device as it will when used with silicone barriers. A FemCap might seem to serve the same purpose, but fills the wearer’s fornices so she can’t take a large man w/o hurting him and below 25 feet water pressure will squeeze the cervix as the dome collapses making FemCap an unsatisfactory choice.

Pointe-shoes: The students all came to me with at least six pairs of hard shanked Gaynor pointes with suede leather tips which are the most supportive, comfortable and longest lasting shoes for ballet-sex. The inner platform pads as well as toe taping and toe pads minimize the possibility of injury from thrust-drop where a tall man can lift his partner off her platforms when he thrusts into her and at withdrawal drops her back on the platforms when being taken from behind while sur les pointes a la seconde. Wearing hard shanked Gaynors with their inner platform padding and optional leather tips gives a girl much greater poise and confidence when in a ballet-sex encounter a well hung man.

Pelvic skills: I usually began my students vaginal barrel toning with 1.0-inch solid borosilicate glass Ben Wa balls. I have them begin by learning how to quickly and confidently insert and remove a 1.0 inch set of solid Pyrex glass balls weighing 0.65 oz. each. It’s always interesting to see if when they jump, cough or sneeze they expel one or both balls. Then lying on her back after a bit of pushing and sucking up with her muscles she will be able to pull them up and push them down her vagina. Once she can do that I have them work on being able to pull the balls deeper while standing and gravity helps to push them back down against her pubic bone again.

Pompoir training: However, the young women selected for my current training class have been training – at a different facility - as professional or semi-professional sex workers so they have come to my pelvic “Finishing School” with well-developed vaginal muscle tone and the ability to manipulate a 1.0-inch solid glass ball set. The best training device I’ve found for isolating and strengthening of the vaginal muscle groups to enable a woman to perform Pompoir - milking a man effectively and then grip him so tightly that his penis can’t go flaccid during his refractory interval (known as The Mare’s Trick) is a pair of 1.0-inch surgical steel balls.  So that’s what I had them begin their training with. Some of them came to me thinking that they were at the top of their game are having a bit of trouble adjusting to the additional effort required.

Each ball weighs 2.307 oz.) for a total of 4.614 oz. of steel, more than a quarter of a pound and each has to become proficient in moving the balls up and down her vaginal barrel while performing household tasks. To successfully complete the course each will have to hold them in place during pointe class doing jumps and développés while en pointe and then successfully give a man pompoir immediately after her pointe class. The trainees are wearing correctly fitted Gaynor Minden hard shanked pointes with sueded leather tips. It’s not clear to me whether the students, though highly motivated, will be able to develop their pompoir skills in the three-week length of the course as it can typically take several months even with concerted effort.

Some readers familiar with Pompoir training may recall that Pompoir is said to have been one of the sexual skills that Wallis Simpson used on King Edward VIII that made him so in thrall to her that he abdicated the English throne in order to marry her.

Tanaquil and Pompoir training: Tanaquil, who returning reader will recall is a retired POB ballerina, Courtesan, Procuress and who now runs the training and technical side of Taryn’s the Porn Empire from Blackthorn Castle will be overseeing the day-to-day training of the female agents. That will allow me devote my time right now to helping treat the mental problems of a young man who has a very promising future as a ballet dancer.

Teen training diaphragms

Semina on introducer with pink Gaynor Minden pointes

The Photo: A Semina diaphragm mounted on an introducer to aid in insertion. The coil spring of the rim can be seen through the transparent pink silicone of the dome. Semina diaphragms are fitted to get young wearers new to using a diaphragm accustomed to the insertion and removal process.

A successful Summer Ballet Intensive: Now my Summer Ballet Intensive has come to the end of its third and final week at Blackthorn Castle. This morning the students all boarded ‘The Dragon’, my personal rail cars, for the trip to London St Pancreas on their way back to their homes.

Semina as a training diaphragm: Returning readers will recall that in my May 6, 2016 post about the requirements for students at the 2016 Blackthorn Ballet Summer Intensive I wrote about the desirability of Semina as a starter cervical barrier for teens:

“A sexually active barrier-girl should never be without her diaphragm and the Seminas pink transparent silicone rubber, which some wearer’s have compared to a pink soap bubble, has proved very attractive when used as a young woman’s first experience with cervical barriers. The use of a Semina began as an alternative for teens that were too small for an IUD and couldn’t use hormonal contraceptives. However, when it was found that they could also be effectively used for cervix protection (flood insurance) during under water penetrative sex even the girls on hormonal birth control wanted to be fitted for a Semina. IUDs and cervical barriers are only compatible when the IUD strings are trimmed off so they don’t stick to a cervical barrier worn for ‘flood insurance’ during underwater penetrative vaginal sex which is one of the more arcane subjects on the syllabus during the Blackthorn Ballet Summer Intensive. Stringless IUDs worn by up-market Escorts and our students are checked for proper position with periodic ultrasound scans.”

The introducer shown in the photo is used to simplify insertion especially for women with short fingers. Unfortunately, introducers are no longer generally available, but it is easy to learn the proper insertion technique. Should BBSI students progress to become “socially available” for underwater penetrative sex they can switch to a latex flat spring diaphragm similar to the Reflexions of blessed memory which can be custom made. While some few people are allergic to latex and natural rubber latex does not last as long as silicone the advantages are considerable as the heat transfer and the elastic properties of the translucent dome membrane are far superior to silicone and for a partner interested in the strong scent of a diaphragm left inserted for more than twenty-four hours’ latex is the preferred material as the scent can be eye-watering. Additionally, the flat spring rim which only folds in a single plane makes it very desirable as ‘flood insurance’ because it’s nearly impossible for even a mischievous lover to intentionally under-thrust the rim. Latex flat spring diaphragms are still the barrier type preferred by elite level Courtesans and Escorts and now are only available through specialist GYNs by special order.

Student injuries: We have been fortunate to have no serious injuries just the normal things like split and bruised nails, not that they aren’t painful. There have been no problems with GyneFix IUDs or Semina diaphragms during after class social activities including surface and underwater sexual encounters. And there have been no pregnancies the insemination for which could have occurred prior to the student arriving at Blackthorn Castle. It would have been very unlikely as all the students have copper bead GyneFix IUDs implanted, but possible. There was a student who should have had a hymenectomy and she had a painful time with large diameter partners even when well lubricated. She insisted on continuing with the syllabus and it was a teaching moment for the entire class.

Seren:  Returning readers will recall that my most recent ward is Seren a college mate of Bea at Cambridge who will be working as an intern Hostess with Bea at the Costume Club during summer holiday. She is Tim (my current lover’s) 18 y/o second cousin and while taking ballet and meeting the requirements of the ballet intensive was a last minute addition when another student dropped out. There was some concern that she wouldn’t be able to keep up as she hadn’t had nearly as long to prepare as the other students. I’m pleased to say that she has marvelous stamina, poise and lovely technique so she finished in the top third of the class for the ballet part of the course. She has been equally as impressive with the social side enjoying her encounters with various male sexual partners and having an impressive pelvic grip, the ability to withstand multiple orgasms w/o fainting and is a class favorite among the men, but that was something they tried not to show since summer intensives are very competitive w/o introducing favoritism.

The Blackthorn Summer Ballet Intensive

The Photo: A pair of Gaynor Minden pointes with optional sueded platforms which provide superior traction and increase the life of the blocks outer padding. Standard internal platform padding along with toe taping and toe pads help minimize toe trauma from thrust-drop during ballet-sex. I think this photo epitomizes the power and beauty of Gaynor Minden pointes that help to make the wearer’s legs look longer, more shapely and cloud men’s minds with thoughts of rapturous lovemaking. Being able to mind-fuck a man by confidently and expertly wearing pointe-shoes is something very few women are capable of doing which gives us a unique advantage when competing for men. The rest fall back on far less adventuresome fuck-me shoes like Louboutin 4 inch stilettos.

The Blackthorn Summer Ballet Intensive: We have been very pleased with the response from ballet schools in the U.S. Canada and the UK in recommending carefully selected student candidates for the second year of the Blackthorn Ballet Summer intensive, commonly known locally as the BBSI. Even with a long list of necessary ballet skill qualifications we have received more than 275 applications for the course. 15 women will be chosen and we will have 15 young male ballet dancers as their partners for the two week course. No other school has a 1:1 ratio of women to men when teaching a ballet course. Seeking to participate in the BBSI is something that mothers of prospected students must discuss in depth with their daughters as a student with no knowledge of or experience with her reproductive tract is an unsuitable candidate. A great many of our students come from families where the mothers are former dancers who have been very sexually active and where sexual activity by the daughter is encouraged as it is seen as providing experience and adding depth to the daughter’s arsenal of erotic resources as she chooses a permanent mate.

Each student candidate in addition to having demonstrated considerable talent, stamina, grace and poise as a young ballet dancer must, because of unique aspects of the course dealing with seduction of the human male, meet additional health, safety and legal requirements some of which are:

Summer intensive student requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of pointe work
  • Must be between the ages of 16 and 18.
  • Must have completed the three injection regimen of Gardasil vaccine.
  • Must have had a recent pelvic to ensure she has a healthy cervix and doesn’t need a hymenectomy to allow penile-vaginal-intercourse, PVI.
  • Must have a current negative full panel STI test. This can occasionally get a mother’s hackles up, but when It’s explained that their daughter will be intimate with a number if men during the course of her training and that all the other students and their male partners must pass the full STI panel as well they understand the need for it.
  • Must have had a stringless GyneFix copper bead IUD implanted at least two months prior to arrival for class as it’s important for attendees to be well protected while cycling naturally an order to learn to use her cyclical hormonal swings to her advantage during seduction training.
  • Must have a negative serum pregnancy test, which will be administered when the student reaches the course venue, Blackthorn Castle.  It’s important that prospective students take any additional contraceptive precautions necessary even with a copper IUD implanted. Students arriving pregnant will not be allowed to participate.
  • Must have the pelvic anatomy (a deep post-pubic vault) to be correctly fitted for a contraceptive diaphragm – Our Gyn clinic will fit and supply the silicone Semina coil spring rim diaphragms at no cost to the students. Semina is available in six diameter sizes, from 60 to 85mm, in 5mm increments. For more about the why we are using the Semina coil spring diaphragm as an introductory cervical barrier see below.
  • Must be able to be correctly fitted with and have at least six pairs of Gaynor Minden pointes with suede tips and extra hard shanks required for ballet-sex training. The extra hard shanks turn a regular élève style shoe (where the wearer rolls through the foot on to pointe) into a relevé style shoe where the wearer springs or steps on to pointe. Extra hard shanked shoes are needed for ballet-sex because they will support an average weight (115lb woman) dancer when she puts her weight on her heels, which is poor technique but occurs when she is fucked boneless while on her toes. With internal platform pads Gaynors are far superior to pointes made of conventional materials in minimizing the likelihood that the wearer’s toes will be injured from thrust-drop during ballet-sex.  If the student wears pointes made of traditional materials they may be worn for class, rehearsals and performances, but not ballet-sex training.
With this list of requirements some of which require long lead times you can see why putting in a last minute request for a place in class is not a winning strategy.

Nikolai will teach: I am very pleased to say that Nikolai, a young (26 y/o) Russian male ballet star who has been dancing with the RB for the 2015-16 season has had his contract renewed for the 2016-17 season. A gorgeous male of amazing grace, poise and virility Nikolai will be working with the Female students and supervising other male ballet members as instructors and partners for the women students. He is one of the attractions of the Blackthorn Summer Ballet Intensive as his reputation as having amazing sexual stamina as well as being a considerate lover has already become legendary in ballet circles. Having Nikolai as a lover is one of the lifetime goals of a great many young women dancers so I consider myself fortunate to have him as a dance and bed partner when he is not dancing with his company.

A Semina and its case with an introducer

Training teen barrier-girls: A sexually active barrier-girl should never be without her diaphragm and the Semina’s pink transparent silicone rubber, which some wearer’s have compared to a pink soap bubble, has proved very attractive when used as a young woman’s first experience with cervical barriers. The use of a Semina began as an alternative for teens that were too small for an IUD and couldn’t use hormonal contraceptives. However, when it was found that they could also be effectively used for cervix protection (flood insurance) during under water penetrative sex even the girls on HBC wanted to be fitted for a Semina. IUDs and cervical barriers are only compatible when the IUD strings are trimmed off so they don’t stick to a cervical barrier worn for flood insurance during underwater penetrative vaginal sex which is one of the more arcane subjects on the syllabus during the Blackthorn Ballet Summer Intensive. Stringless IUDs worn by up-market Escorts are checked for proper position with periodic ultrasound scans.

The introducer shown in the photo was used to simplify insertion especially for women with short fingers. Unfortunately introducers are no longer being made, but it is easy to learn the proper insertion technique. Should BBSI students progress to become “socially available” for underwater penetrative sex they can switch to a latex flat spring diaphragm similar to the Reflexions of blessed memory. While some few people are allergic to latex and natural rubber latex does not last as long as silicone the advantages are considerable as the heat transfer and the elastic properties of the translucent dome membrane are far superior to silicone. Gas fisting protection with Oves

An Oves cervical cap and a pair of Chacott pointe-shoes

The perils of Gas Fisting: Gas Fisting for the purpose of this post is defined as having compressed air intentionally forced into the vagina of a willing (or unwilling) woman. As far as I know being Gas Fisted is very rare and extremely dangerous which probably explains its rarity. I’m writing about it now because one of my students asked me about it today in my class on Advanced Sexual Techniques. Her boyfriend wanted to do it to her telling her that it was a quick way to flush coital discharge from her vagina. She asked if a diaphragm being used for contraception or as ‘flood protection’, to prevent the hydraulics of a partners thrusting from forcing water into her uterus, would provide effective protection if he forced pressurized gas into her. The short answer is no, it will not!

No currently available cervical barrier or FC2 condom will provide any protection if a woman is Gas Fisted. The few incidents I’m familiar with have all occurred where the woman is in a bikini or beavertail jacket and SCUBA gear where there was easy access to her vulva and a source of compressed gas from a buddy reg on an octopus or her partner’s reg was available and have all occurred w/o the victim’s permission.

Present Barrier protection is ineffective: Readers of my posts will recall that I routinely use the latex Reflexions flat spring contraceptive diaphragm as effective ‘flood insurance’ while diving to prevent water or gas bubbles from being forced into my uterus by the hydraulics of a partner’s thrusting. Neither the Reflexions nor any other cervical barrier currently commercially available will protect a woman against serious injury if high pressure gas is released into her vagina.

That’s because a jet of compressed gas from a 2nd stage reg will stretch the vaginal rugae inflating the vagina like a balloon causing the bladder to immediately empty and occasionally the bowels as well. Worse however is that the nearly instantaneously inflated vagina will break even the strongest seal of any diaphragm or FemCap being worn for protection because diaphragm rims and FemCap brims form their seals by pressing tightly against the vaginal walls. The seal of a cervical barrier being breached allows the gas and any water it is pushing to be forced into the wearer’s uterus and fallopian tubes where it could cause PID and infertility or a gas bubble could possibly enter the bloodstream if she was menstrual or recently had an abortion or given birth.

Effective protection: The only cervical barriers that will provide effective protection from the serious side effects of Gas Fisting are the latex Prentif cavity rim cap and the much smaller transparent silicone Oves cap because they suction directly on the walls of the cervix so external pressure will force them down tighter on the cervix.  Unfortunately, neither Prentif nor Oves are still being made. However, there are a few of us still using a Prentif or Oves who can survive a mischievous partner Gas Fisting us.

Too, for a very few of us wanting to tempt fate we can screw a Prentif or Oves down tight on our cervix and have a lover intentionally Gas Fist us or do it ourselves to prove to we still have the nerve or luck to survive.  There is no accounting for the extent to which some of us will go for thrills. Experiencing the massive high that sort of ‘cheating death’ recklessness brings when I successfully survive an intentional Gas Fisting leaves me boneless and gasping savoring how marvelously alive I feel!

Latex Prentif cavity rim cervical caps like the ones shown above are the only devices other than Oves that will provide effective protection for a woman who is Gas Fisted.

The Caya diaphragm, Tim and I, fetish diaphragm sex

The Caya single size contoured diaphragm

The Caya market: The Caya contoured diaphragm with a polymer arcing spring rim was designed for use in locations where medical professionals are not available to fit diaphragms. Caya is a one-size-fits-most device designed to fit women using the four most commonly prescribed sizes 65, 70, 75 and 80mm, of conventional diaphragms. Caya has been available in The UK and Europe for about two years and in mid 2015 was approved by the FDA for use in the U.S, but it is available by Rx only.

I’ve discussed the Caya and its uses in previous posts and occasionally use it myself when I’m luteal, but I don’t think it is as effective for me if used for contraception during fetish sex as it can be more easily under-thrust than can a flat spring rim latex diaphragm which my clinic now fits as standard for Escorts unless the patient is allergic to latex.

Caya the pros:

  • Polymer rim spring compresses into a long oval with the posterior rim arcing down slightly to ease slipping under and behind the cervix. The rims flexing properties are very similar to a conventional coil spring rim.
  • Designed to fit women who wear conventional diaphragms from 65mm to 80mm.
  • The soft 75 mm polymer rim spring flexes to accommodate depth of 65mm conventional diaphragm wearer.
  • Matte texture of the cup increases sensation for the male partner.
  • Grip dimples provide finger placement guidance and firm grip for insertion.
  • Removal dome makes removal easy. And, depending on the length of the fingers it can also allow the wearer’s or her partner’s finger to easily move the removal dome gently back and forth over the wearer’s G-spot (if she has one) to stimulate her to orgasm making it much easier to give many women who can wear a Caya a G-spot orgasm, though the ease will depend on exactly where her G-spot is located.
  • Relief arch makes it less likely for a partner to hit the anterior rim.

And cons:

  • The small 55 mm, inner diameter cervical cup makes wearing it for heavy days flow control during menses less useful than an Omniflex that has a larger dome.
  • To accommodate the upturned relief arch of the anterior rim in front of the removal dome, the wearer needs to have a pronounced post-pubic vault (or retropubic niche as  the makers call it) one to two cm deep which most women have; otherwise a partner can hit the rim.
  • Rim contour (ahead of the grip dimples) increases the likelihood of under-thrusting if the Caya rotates too much.
  • Worn by a woman whose correct size in a conventional diaphragm is smaller than 65mm the contoured rim will bend more ahead of the grip dimples making it much easier to under-thrust the Caya if the wearer is taken while unaroused. Or, cause it not to seal correctly and leak and the rim pressing on her urethra can increase the likelihood of developing a UTI.
  • All cervical barriers rotate, but for those with a circular cross-section (all except Caya) rotation doesn’t matter as far as the seal is concerned. When Caya rotates the contoured rim is more likely to break the seal. Rotation is thought to occur from a thrusting penis rubbing more against one side of the dome than the other. So if both the penis and dome are not well lubricated friction can cause the device to rotate significantly.

Tim and a change in plan: It’s Monday January 4th 2016 and I’m CD24 as this is being written. I’m luteal and don’t really need to wear a barrier for contraception, but I found that Tim likes to help me insert either a Caya or a Reflexions if we are to go diving (I check after him to make certain my cervix is in the cup) and he loves the additional stimulation from rubbing his glans on Caya’s lightly textured dome which saves me from having to intentionally contract my muscles and lets me just enjoy having him thrusting inside me.

The plan changes are significant. After 12th Night (on January 5th) my wards their boyfriends and Anya, who arrived on Sunday as the last of my house party guests were departing will fly down to Virgin Gorda aboard Limnaea II, my. Marvin is not going. He is returning to Cambridge to “work” and ‘Miss Nexplanon’ his current dick-a-chick is going with him! I’m not surprised, but she isn’t a dancer and can’t wear pointe shoes (I’ve already covered that base and she doesn’t have the feet or strength for wearing them) so she won’t be replacing me as Jenna when I’m wearing her Bloch Alpha pointes.  Marvin is just looking for a young, tight, deep, easily controlled vessel in which to plant his seed while he is away from me so I know he will be back.

And, I’m not going to Virgin Gorda immediately after 12th Night either. I found that Tim doesn’t have to report back to his unit for another two weeks, on the 18th, and I’ve asked him to stay here with me which he is delighted to do! Yay! I should be fertile on the 16th so I’ll need to be careful the last several days we will be together, but until then I can safely have his sperm in my tubes and not worry about an unintended pregnancy.

By then Bea and her boyfriend will be back at Cambridge so after I see Tim off Nikolai and I will fly down to Lost Cove to be with Anya and the Dryads (Bryony and Claire) and their boyfriends. Nikolai will have time off from the ballet then so he will be my partner on Virgin Gorda. It will be his first time in the BVIs and we are both looking forward to having dive-sex in the cove.

Tiny Tim and me: For the next two weeks Tim and I will be alone together except of course for the castle staff.  He has had SCUBA combat training so is well qualified as a diver. Though I’m pretty sure he hasn’t been in an operation where he has had penile-vaginal intercourse with a woman underwater before. So, I intend to give him a lot of practice to eliminate that gap in his training. We slipped away from the rest of my guests on Saturday to have Carla, my Divemaster, fit him with an OTS Guardian FFM and we tried it out wearing BCs and 130 cu ft HP steel tanks in the shallow (64 ft deep) well where just to get acclimated to the energy and the amount of air expended (you tend to forget about air conservation techniques during orgasm) during dive-sex we could breathe regular air rather than Enriched Air Nitrox with 32% oxygen (EAN32). I tethered my ankle leash to the net strung across the well at 30 feet to prevent a diver in an uncontrolled descent from sinking to the bottom.

I inflated my BC and hung weightless tethered by the leash while Tim untied the hip bows of my thong and fingered me. For the dive I wore a latex Reflexions flat spring diaphragm making sure to express the air from the dome with my fingers to strengthen the vacuum in the dome and applied 10ml of the silicone lube DiveGel+ from a disposable vaginal applicator before getting in the water. I wore the latex Reflections for two reasons primarily because a flat spring rim is nearly impossible to under-thrust so it performs extremely well as ‘flood insurance’ to prevent the hydraulics of a lover’s thrusting from forcing water into the wearer’s uterus and because the silicone gel lube needed for underwater sex will not harm a latex barrier.

He was such an able and fast learner! On our first dive he got off twice by thrusting while we were in more or less vertical missionary. Then I gave him Pompoir while he stayed still and hard as deep as he could get while I milked him with my muscles. It was such a wonderful encounter that I hated to have to surface. The good news is that he will be with me for the next two weeks!

Ballet fetish toe protection, Mitch and fetish hostesses

Slipping on toe pads for ballet-sex with Marvin

The Photo: Putting on toe pads before pushing my toes into the blocks of pointe-shoes. Even in Gaynors and especially in Bloch Alphas for sex with Marvin [Morning Wood] I like to wear toe pads because when in pointes for fetish play I can be on my toes continuously for such long intervals.

Toe protection for ballet fetishists: Since most ballet fetishists are new to ballet and especially wearing pointe-shoes a few words about toe protection might be helpful. First trim your toenails very short. When on pointe if your nails are long enough to be forced against the hard inside of the toe-box there is a good chance that the nail can be pushed into the nail bed causing a painful and ugly bruised nail that can take weeks to recover from and months to grow a new nail. Even if a newbie is wearing correctly fitted Gaynor Minden shoes that have internal padding I think she should be fitted while wear toe pads. That way when she is menstrual and her feet swell she can wear the Gaynors w/o the pads.

Toe pads can also be used as containers for ejaculated semen.  If a guy wants to cum in my shoes rather that having him squirt in the blocks I let him stroke-off into my silicone toe pads (not the lambs wool or fabric ones which just absorb the semen and become matted and sticky) then slip my toes in to the pads to feel the semen squish between my toes then slip my foot into a nylon footie the same color as the pointes I will be wearing to hold the pad on my foot while I’m slipping my feet into and out of my toe-shoes. A caution about being continually in wet toe pads; too much of that and even a woman used to wearing pointes and with protective calluses can find them softening and eroding lessening her protection. Anyone letting her lover cum in her shoes or toe pads where her toes are immersed in the semen should not wear them continuously for too long too.

Toe pads as mementos:  If your shoe fetish lover is into sex when you are wearing pointes and he wants to untie the ribbons, pull off your shoes and suck your toes and afterward wants you to give him the $80 to $120 pair of shoes you were fucked in there may be a low cost alternative. If you were wearing toe pads you can give him the $15 pair of sweaty smelly toe pads as a souvenir instead.  A plus is that he can eat the toe cheese out of the pads after you take class, rehearse or perform while wearing them. The cheese I produce is made up of dead skin cells, nail polish chips, toe tape adhesive, lint, estrogenic sweat and his semen if he came in the pads before I put them on.

Drone voyeurism: A few days ago we had a little four rotor drone equipped with a camera flying close to and over the terrace on which my girls and I and the porn actresses were sunbathing. We were nude as usual to prevent tan lines so I can appreciate a male operator wanting pics. However, you can understand our reluctance to be photographed under those conditions. When I told Paul, Anya’s lover and the swan twins father, about it he first thought it was a commercial photography company making a video of the bays and coves on the island, but when the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) came back to hover a few yards off the terrace three times on a single afternoon it was apparent that it was being used for voyeurism. Paul has access to some amazing special electronic equipment one item of which is a frequency jamming device that makes it impossible to send or receive data from an electronic device within its range which in this case is several hundred yards in a dome 360 degrees in circumference and 300 yards vertically. So we borrowed it and when the sky-spy returned we turned it on and it shut the UAV down and it dropped several hundred feet straight down on to the rocks and disintegrated.  We recovered the video camera and a memory chip that Paul says he can recover the data from so that should be interesting.

For those readers who are thinking that ‘What goes around comes around.’ given the porn-video crew used a super long lens to capture sex aboard a rental yacht that sailed into the cove several days ago I’ll just say the couple on the yacht had no knowledge of what we were doing while the operator of the UAV that was videoing us didn’t seem to care that we knew what he/it was doing.  Actually, we are leaving the jammer on 24/7 while we are here and we apparently caused the crash of another one the next morning. That one went into the cove near the shore and we recovered it almost intact.  The UAVs seemed to be made in the U.S. Taryn’s porn Director thinks it was probably a rival Eastern European porn group spying on them as Taryn’s porn videos are becoming very popular on the eastern European market.

Porn video completed:  Taryn’s video crew and actors left the other day and we have had no more visits from UAVs. I was sorry to see the actors go since as new sex partners they all melded quite well with my regular guests and provided welcome partner differences in size, temperament and technique. For me variety in sex partners really is the spice of life and I think that’s true for the men as well.

Mitch arrives:  Willow has been trying to get Mitch to come down to keep her company, in a manner of speaking and he came in to Spanish Town on the ferry to surprise her so we took the Wanton Lass IV around to pick him up. He is a ballet dancer who supplements his salary as a very expensive escort, and is Willow’s main squeeze who I haven’t said much about since he first appeared in my post for December 11, 2013 where I introduced him this way:

“Willow has been chosen to be Mitch’s primary training partner and he was her date for Thanksgiving. Mitch is an amazing escort, but he is seen by stable management as risky because a good many of his clients have gotten pregnant. Not that it was his fault. The clients were all paying for clean, virile, mind blowing, unprotected, penile vaginal intercourse and that’s what he provides, in spades. He gets all sorts of raves from women whose brains he’s fucked out. When it’s over they lay there gasping, quivering and pleading for more. Then a few weeks later s a few of them complain because they are preggers, and paternity tests (it almost always goes that far) prove he is the father.”

Mitch has followed Willow to the UK and is working as a dancer for a small ballet Co. in London as well as for Taryn as an extremely expensive escort for rich aristocratic women who like dangerous sex. Not that that he is dangerous physically, if you don’t count pregnancy. However, he continues to impregnate a few of his clients if he has unprotected sex with them and the service no longer pays for aborting his babies since they found any publicity from a suit brought by a pregnant client would increase Mitch’s reputation and be counterproductive to her own reputation. You would think a man with that sort of reputation would be avoided, but there are very rich women who know he is dangerous that way and still delude themselves by thinking “It won’t happen to me” so his dance card is as full as he wants it.

A theory: Most of the pregnancies Mitch has been responsible for have been with women who were using some form of hormonal contraception and a few who were using some form of barrier contraception. Marvin wonders if there could be something in those women on hormones who by anticipating their encounters with Mitch might have unintentionally increased their metabolism to the extent that their bodies flushed out the hormones too quickly that were meant to protect them.  No research has been done in that area so it’s speculation on his part. There have been no pregnancies by him with women using copper IUDs so perhaps they are ‘safe’. And I double bag, wear an Oves and a Reflexions Latex diaphragm simultaneously, or am menstrual when I have sex with Mitch. So it can’t happen to me!  I’m kidding, really I am, which is why I double bag!  But the possibility of it happening to me is a huge thrill and makes me wet thinking about it. How kinky is that? Which is why I love having him pump his semen deep into me.

Hostess training: I’m pleased to say right after the Porn video crew and actors left another group of five couples arrived – aboard the same Spanish Town ferry on which Mitch arrived - who are friends of Taryn from Cambridge. She says the girls want to apply to be Hostesses at one of the Blackthorn Barony’s corporation’s fetish clubs. That can be a very challenging job, but the girls are going into psychiatry (as is Taryn) and want actual experience with fetish deviation as it occurs in clubs in the UK while earning some money. When Taryn asked me about it some months ago I agreed I to give them all an opportunity to try if they would get current negative full panel STI screens and GyneFix IUDs ahead of coming to visit us and all have gotten the frameless IUDs with the strings removed and their periods have settled down. I’m not sure they really know what they are getting into, but it’s nice to have them here as they will be welcome distractions from our regular sex partners while I get to see how well the girls react with multiple sex partners. I’ve never known that to be a problem with men and other than the guys being congenial and a good energetic sex partners for the next several weeks I don’t care about them.

I can’t believe I haven’t been able to get to sleep. I’ve been reading an Iris Johansen thriller from 2003 entitled The Face of Deception on my Nook and the plot is amazing! I’m CD3 and menstrual - perhaps that’s why I’m so wide awake, but my periods have never affected me that way before. For the next two weeks our men: Paul, Chris, Marvin, Castor, Pollux and Mitch will be exchanging sex partners with the five new men so the girls and I will have the new men to ourselves for sex. I should be fertile during the last few days they will be with us. I love the scent of a new man and having him thrusting inside me especially when I’m fertile!

Dildos and diaphragms at the Priory

A silicone Semina diaphragm mounted on its introducer

The photo: A silicone Semina (coil spring) diaphragm on its introducer which makes it easier to insert displayed on a pair of Gaynor Minden pointe shoes. Semina is available in six diameter sizes, from 60 to 85mm, in 5mm increments and is made in Brazil.

The weather: It’s been raining and cold, around freezing, for the last few days with occasional snow flurries so the Barony’s Land Rovers with their all terrain tires and large heaters are a very comfortable and safe ride for Charles, my Chamberlain of the Household, and me to travel in to the Priory and while making the rounds of shops in the nearby villages to introduce myself.

Priory girls training: Returning readers may recall what I wrote about Blackthorn Priory in my December-31, 2014 post entitled ‘My Welsh Roots’: “There is nothing to suggest St. Candice (as I tend to think of her) was in any way a disciplinarian. However, she is patron saint of a religious community of women living in a surprisingly large medieval Priory the early parts of which date from the 11th centaury.  The Priory is on Blackthorn Barony land within a few miles of the Baroness’s relatively small but superbly constructed 13th C. castle…”

“The Priory is part of the Barony of Blackthorn and the office of Prioress of the Order is in the gift of the Baroness Blackthorn. Maintenance of the priory and the Order are paid for from a small percentage of the profit from the minerals mined on the Baronial estates. The Order of St Canna stresses discipline, obedience and service.  Blackthorn priory’s primary function seems to be to raise female foundlings selectively chosen from the slums of major cities in the UK.  Their schools taught by Sisters who have attended the best universities, prepare the girls for university educations and socialize the young girls through exchange programs with other elite public (read private) schools in the UK.”

Pelvic exams, diaphragms and dildos: It is the custom at Blackthorn as with many girls’ schools to give Priory girls reaching menarche their first gynecological exam and fit them with an effective barrier contraceptive so they can become accustomed to wearing it before they move to fifth and sixth forms at Barrow Priory in Middlesex where they will need it during social encounters as guests at dances at a neighboring boys school.

The primary barrier currently in use by Priory girls is the silicone Semina diaphragm (pictured at the top of this post)  which the girls think looks like a pink soap bubble a fact that helps the girls remember to insert their diaphragms for flow control on light days during menses. The smallest Semina is 60mm so any student requiring a smaller device is fitted with a 22mm FemCap and a menstrual cup for flow control. There were four girls who had reached menarche in the last several months and Chris, my Male Gyn and new member of the Blackthorn Clinic, gave them their pelvic exams. All had deep post-pubic vaults, took 60mm Seminas and none needed a hymenectomy.

Some readers may wonder why students reaching menarche are not immediately placed on hormonal contraceptives since these days so many girls routinely go on contraceptive hormones with all the negative side effects accompanying them. Some few Blackthorn girls are put on hormones if they have very painful periods or their cycles won’t stabilize. However, the Order feels that it is important for young women to experience the ebb and flow of their hormones while cycling naturally. Diaphragms let them become accustomed to handling their genitals w/o fear or shame as so many young women are taught and can experience the marvelous surge in creativity when fertile. Additionally, the discipline of inserting the diaphragm every evening before bed and removing and cleaning it each morning gets them into a routine that will be beneficial when they become sexually active.

I fitted them with their Seminas and Diva menstrual cups and discussed the insertion and removal procedure for their barriers and Diva cups then let them practice insertion and removal of both devices. Fortunately, in my opinion, none required a FemCap since a cap shouldn’t be used during menses and it has depth limitations during dive-sex.

Then in my first presentations as Baroness I presented each newly blossomed young woman with two dildos: her first borosilicate (Pyrex) glass dildo, a 1 ¾ inches in diameter and 8.0 inches long glass shaft in the shape of a phallus with a handle to use while on her back – a nice feature about Pyrex is that it can be warmed or cooled for use in hot or chilly weather. And a high quality silicone one of the same size with a suction cup base with which to solo train for male penetration in the ballet studio. This second item is especially useful in training for deep penetration of the anterior and posterior fornices while en pointe during ballet-sex – suctioned on to the mirrored wall in a studio where the user can hold on to the barre rise en pointe and back on to the dildo. All the girls were eagerly anticipating trying them out.

P.T. with the first of Marvin’s patients: I’m looking forward to the phys. therapy sessions with my first of Marvin’s patients who will be here this coming Monday. That will give the security group time to finish installing six HD cams in the castle ballet studio where the video will be stored on disks and satellite linked to Marvin’s office in London. If the videos are any good we may pixelize the faces and sell them on the porn market through Taryn’s org.

Maya arrives: His Grace accompanied Maya, his recent Russian ballerina bedmate, when she arrived this morning in his helicopter. He stayed for lunch and a brief tour of the castle before leaving to get ahead of the rain which appeared later this afternoon.  Chris has already set up a Gyn exam and procedure room in one of the unused interior rooms and fully stocked it with supplies from the Blackthorn Clinic in London.  He removed Maya’s Medusa silver and gold IUD, performed a vacuum aspiration to remove the reproducing tissue and inserted a frameless six bead copper GyneFix IUD this afternoon. Everything went well and she is on a ten day course of an antibiotic and was told no vaginal sex or heavy lifting for a week so she is looking forward to a restful few days of barre, reading and catching up on her sleep.

Contraception prep for college

Oh my God! I think I’m expelling my Skyla!

The photo: Ladies, you know the feeling when something in there moves that shouldn’t; a diaphragm, FemCap, menstrual cup or an IUD. The Skyla is a smaller version of the Mirena hormone releasing IUD and was designed for nulliparous women. Skyla releases the progestin levonorgestrel at a rate of 14 mcg/day after 24 days and declines to 5 mcg/day after 3 years at which time it must be replaced.  Menstrual cups can usually be used safely with IUDs as the cup should be worn low in the vagina where it should not come in contact with the IUD strings. Of course in the case of my wards their GyneFix copper bead IUDs were implanted w/o strings so they can wear diaphragms or FemCap with no fear of interacting with the strings and causing an expulsion.

Student’s contraception prep for college: While most teens starting college are on hormonal contraceptives a few use the copper ParaGard IUD and a few still use cervical barriers, a silicone Milex diaphragm or a FemCap. For readers who may not be aware of it the silicone Ortho All-Flex diaphragm that had been available for years by Rx through most pharmacies in the U.S. was discontinued in December of 2013. That leaves only the silicone CooperSurgical Milex- in two rim styles arcing and coil spring – and FemCap as options for women in the U.S who want or need a cervical barrier or the latex Reflexions flat spring which can be ordered from the UK..

This past week we have seen the usual summer increase in teen cervical barrier fittings as they prepare to go away to college for the first time or are having their annual well-woman pelvic exam and diaphragm fit check before returning to sexual activity with college men and some professors.  I fit three 17 y/o patients with 60mm wide seal Milex Omniflex (coil spring) diaphragms. They were the first diaphragms for all three because of health problems after having used only condoms.

One girl has Factor V Leiden a mutation of one of the clotting factors in the blood called factor V. This mutation can increase the chance of developing abnormal blood clots made worse by taking anything with estrogen in it. Factor V Leiden while it can appear in men is primarily found in women. The second, diaphragm patient was a petite gymnast with a full athletic scholarship to a major Midwestern university. She has terrible side effects from the progestin Levonorgestrel in the Skyla IUD that was designed for use by small women and she is too small to have ParaGard inserted. And the third girl does not want to use hormonal birth control of any sort and has a nickel/copper allergy so can’t use a ParaGard IUD.

Their moms came with them and were comfortable that while their daughters ages were below the age of consent for some relationships they were open about sex with boyfriend and the mothers only concern was that their daughters would be well protected by a method under their control. The girls assured me they would wear their diaphragms whenever they were around men as sex can often be spontaneous and the need for effective protection is very important to all of them. The girls had no problem inserting and removing the Milex Omniflex as they all use Diva menstrual cups so were familiar with their pelvic anatomy and folding a device for insertion. They see wearing their diaphragms as a rite of passage and an act of independence accepting the responsibility for managing their own fertility and being able to enjoy the delights of sex with a man while reducing the likelihood of unintended consequences to an acceptable level.

I fit another 17 y/o with a 22mm FemCap as her post-pubic vault was far too shallow to enable her to effectively use even a Reflexions flat spring diaphragm. She and her mom did not want her using anything with hormones in it and they both think IUDs are too invasive so a cervical cap was the only option left for a method over which she will have control. The good news is that for her age she is tall and has a relatively long vagina when not aroused – so a partner is unlikely to hit the removal strap during deep thrusting - and she also has long fingers which allow her to reach her cervix when squatting and pushing down, an ability needed to place a FemCap effectively and equally important to be able to reach it to break the seal for removal.

Elbow hinge arcing spring Vs. latex flat spring: Another patient, a returning UNLV grad student, came in to discuss changing the style of diaphragm she is using. She was last fitted with 70mm latex Reflexions with which she was very pleased. However, she has developed a latex allergy and she wanted something that would provide the same protection and pleasure for her and her very well endowed partner during deep thrusting encounters. What I recommended was a Milex wide seal arching spring which has two elbow hinges that fold for insertion. Once inserted and open when thrust into by a penis the rim flexes only slightly remaining circular and stiff (as long as the device does not rotate significantly in either direction), but not as inflexible as the Reflexions allowing the silicone dome to be stretched across the cervix and glans as it is pushed into her anterior fornix by a thrusting penis.

There are tradeoffs using a silicone arcing spring instead of a latex flat spring. However, for anterior fornix thrusting I think the two can be equally pleasurable. With the silicone arcing spring the dome is stiffer than the flat spring so the rim flexing is offset by the less stretchy dome which puts the same or perhaps a bit more pressure on the tip of the cervix to push the uterus up and to squeeze the glans simultaneously during maximum anterior fornix thrust depth.  Too, the central dome logo on the Reflexions used as a stimulator for men long enough to reach it is replaced by the extrusion bump in the center of the Milex dome that is easily felt by a thrusting penis when the silicone dome is stretched into the anterior fornix.  The only detracting factors in comparing the Milex to Reflexions is that that Milex costs more and the heat transfer properties are much better with latex. Factors against the latex Reflexions are that couples with latex allergies can’t use it. Latex is more easily destroyed by oily lubes or meds so its useful life is much shorter and latex is more likely to contribute to infections than is silicone. The only major difference in favor of the flat spring rim is that it can be worn effectively by some women with shallow post-pubic vaults.

The only unknowns with the Milex Arcing spring diaphragm used for deep thrust anterior fornix play is how much the diaphragm will rotate which can affect the pressure deep thrusting will develop and how well the elbow hinges will withstand the reverse pressure when the dome is stretched into the wearer’s anterior fornix by a well endowed partner. The good news is that if the elbow hinges begin to fail a replacement is easily obtained.

Breeding dancers: I was going to title this section Breeding Ballerinas for the alliteration, but while I have helped some of my ballet dancer friends conceive most of the women who come to me for help getting pregnant are statuesque full figured show girls 5’10” or taller so are well over 6” in heels or en pointe; lovely but not with ballet bodies, technique or speed necessary for classical ballet.

My method has been fairly successful and is low cost, fun to use and counter intuitive as a conception aid. I have the friends I’m counseling use a silicone Milex wide seal Omniflex (coil spring rim) breeding diaphragm – one that is two sizes smaller that the size the woman should use for contraception – and have the couple lubricate the dome and vagina with pre-seed, a pH balanced sperm friendly gel, rather than acidic spermicide. This allows a partner to easily under-thrust the rim of the diaphragm especially when the woman is being penetrated from behind while bent over holding on to a barre, chair or table or on her hands and knees.

In that position with the trunk of her body parallel to the floor the uterus is pulled down and back by gravity increasing the depth of the vagina. As the vagina lengthens the rim of the diaphragm in the posterior fornix will be pulled deeper with the cervix which in turn pulls the anterior rim further away from the pubic bone where it can be more easily under-thrust by the smooth upper side of her lover’s glans. Once under the dome the frenulum of an uncut man can freely caress his lover’s G-spot bringing her to orgasm with its strong vaginal contractions that squeeze the thick cream rich with millions of sperm from his vas glands where it spews against her ripe unprotected cervix. Once her breeding partner withdraws the diaphragm reseals against the vaginal walls trapping the ejaculate in the prepared dome along with her fertile cervical mucus.

A few minutes later, the inseminated woman basking in the afterglow lies quietly on her back as her vagina returns to its unaroused state submerging the tip of her ripe cervix in the pool of fertile cervical mucus, pre-seed and semen contained in the dome. So far with the small group of friends who have tried to conceive this way almost 50% have been successful within three cycles, but the group is far too small to be able to make any sort of meaningful claim.

A menstrual Firebird

Menstrual in Grishko Maya pointes for Firebird

Firebird: I’m CD4 and menstrual so I’ll be performing the role of the firebird this evening in my erotic version of the 1910 Stravinsky/Fokine ballet. In the first performance, in Paris, Tamara Karsavina danced firebird and Michel Fokine danced Prince Ivan. I’ve been experimenting with Grishko Mayas for a few weeks to see if wearing Russian made shoes help me get into the role of firebird and I really think wearing Mayas does with the great fit of the block and the élève design hard ¾ shanks show off my high arches. I have a dozen pairs that I rotate through over the 5 days I dance the role while I’m menstrual.

In my version of Firebird the prince Ivan wants a magic golden apple from the garden of an evil sorcerer. He asks me to get it for him and n return I ask for his help to release me from the sorcerer’s spell. We agree. I fly over the wall protecting the garden steal the apple and give it to Ivan who in payment removes my diaphragm, drinks my magic flow then penetrates me and plants his vital bodily fluid containing his seed transforming me back into a princess who marries him. It’s a difficult role with lifts, fouettés and jumps and being penetrated while menstrual w/o a diaphragm inserted for flow control. During the fouettés and when landing jumps my flow splatters so the sueded soles of the Maya pointes give me excellent traction on a slippery stage. Being w/o contraceptive protection while menstrual at my age shouldn’t be a problem as my cycles are still very regular so I’m not likely to ovulate while his swimmers are still alive in my tubes. Still, it’s always a possibility so it’s quite thrilling to contemplate.

My Firebird diaphragm: For Firebird performances I wear a silicone wideseal Milex 80 mm Omniflex (coil spring rim) which is easier for my partner dancing Ivan to pull out w/o spilling too much of my flow. He really does drink it then slips the bloody thing into a hidden pocket in his tunic. I don’t wear a death rubber diaphragm, a latex Reflexions flat spring, while performing for several reasons: First a flat spring diaphragm would spill too much flow while he’s pulling it out. Next, with a DR inserted I would appear too confident and as an enchanted princess I need to appear vulnerable. And lastly I wouldn’t trust a man handling anything as vital to my psyche as a death rubber whose former owner’s Chi I’ve bonded with. When I return to my dressing room I immediately reinsert my current death rubber and then I feel far more confident and well protected from male manipulation.   The Omniflex used during the performance is given back to me and I rinse it off then drop it into a bowl of isopropyl alcohol to sterilize it before I wear it again the next night
