Altitude Diving in Lake Tahoe: I’ve mentioned several times in earlier entries that there is a significant increase in altitude – about 4300 feet (1311 meters) - between Vegas and Lake Tahoe. Adolph’s place is on the Calif side just south of Truckee. Dive computers with digital altitude adjustment are a must as there is a considerable difference between dive tables for altitude and surface diving. For example: at Lake Tahoe a 96 ft dive at an altitude of 6220 ft makes it the equivalent of a 125 ft dive at sea level. That could get a diver in serious trouble if she was pushing her limits for a safe dive. I mentioned in an earlier post (my entry January 31, 2010) about one of Adolph’s girls who had a DCS attack at Lake Tahoe because she had been multiple diving in Vegas the day before and drove to Tahoe the next morning.

Dive-sex in Lake Tahoe: The water in the lake is primarily the result of snow melt from the Sierra Nevada range on the west and the Carson range on the east. The water temperature near the surface generally cools to 40 F to 50 F during February and March, and warms to 65 F to 70 F August and September. Below 600-700 foot depths, the water temperature remains a constant 39 F. so even in august the surface water is chilly for shallow dive-sex. It’s uncomfortably cold for women even for a short interval in a wetsuit with an open crotch zipper, but with dive gel at least we stay lubed. - Certain medicines used to treat acidity of the stomach or ulcers (for example omeprazole)

Ellaone may also make regular hormonal contraceptives less effective. Therefore you should use a reliable barrier contraceptive method such as condom until your next period.

Ellaone should not be used together with emergency contraceptives containing levonorgestrel.

The activity of Ellaone may be increased if you are taking certain medicines such as medicines to treat fungal infections (for example, ketoconazole, itraconazole), or certain infections (for example, telithromycin, clarithromycin) as they may increase the amount of Ellaone in your body.”
